TMTD is a super accelerator for natural, synthetic rubber and latex. It can be used as a vulcanizing agent when heated to above 100 ℃, which is a second accelerator which is easily decomposed into free sulfur. It has an effective sulfur content of about 13.3%. This product is an excellent second accelerator for thiazole accelerators, and can also be used as a promoter for continuous vulcanizates with other accelerators. In the latex, the amount of this product is sprayed, but does not affect the stability of the latex. The use of this product can reduce the tendency of dithiocarbamate accelerators to vulcanize early in latex.
